Systems engineering contractor Scitor will join Science Applications International Corp.‘s (NYSE: SAIC) new intelligence community customer group following SAIC’s completed $790 million cash acquisition of Scitor.

SAIC announced the deal’s closure Monday and said Scitor President Timothy Dills will lead the new group, which SAIC estimates to represent 11 percent of its total customer mix.

Scitor generated $600 million in revenue during its last fiscal year.

“This transaction expands the markets we serve and we are dedicated to ensuring continuity of the mission to our customers, ” said Tony Moraco, SAIC CEO.

SAIC purchased Scitor with the intent to access classified contracts, cleared personnel and security infrastructure in the intelligence market.

Scitor provides mission support for U.S. Air Force and intelligence community programs.
