RLJ Equity Partners has acquired Phase One Consulting Group, an Alexandria, Virginia-based company that provides advisory services on information technology strategy, agile development and organizational transformation, among other business areas.
The private equity affiliate of The RLJ Companies said Monday that Phase One has existing client relationships with several federal civilian agencies and works directly with agency chief information officers on IT projects.
Jerad Speigel, CEO of Phase One, said he believes the partnership could bolster capabilities to drive the company’s growth.
Bluestone Capital Partners served as financial adviser to Phase One, while LBC Credit Partners provided senior debt financing and Enlightenment Capital provided mezzanine debt financing.
The latter two companies also supported the acquisition through equity co-investments,  RLJ Equity Partners said.
