The U.S. Navy has awarded six companies positions on a 42-month, $96.7 million contract vehicle to provide physician services to several military health facilitiesÂ in the U.S. Northeast region through September 2018.
The Defense Department said FridayÂ thatÂ BTL Technologies, Â Loyal Source Government Services, Â MD Consulting, Â Vysnova Partners, Â Washington Harris Group andÂ Wisestaff can compete for task orders under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award.
A majority of the workÂ will beÂ performed at theÂ Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Â followed byÂ Naval Health Clinic Quantico, Â Naval Health Clinic Annapolis andÂ Naval Health Clinic Great Lakes.
DoD said it will provide the obligated amount of $7.2 million from the Defense Health Program funds for fiscal year 2015 upon award of the initial task orders.
The Naval Medical Logistics Command at Fort Detrick in Maryland handled the contract, which sought proposals fromÂ service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
