Robert Norfleet: Federal Network Systems Becomes Part of Jacobs Engineering

acquisitionJacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has concluded its acquisition of Verizon’s (NYSE: VZ) Federal Network Systems for undisclosed terms.

Robert Norfleet, Jacobs group vice president, said Tuesday the company intends to grow its presence in the intelligence community industry by expanding its existing service offerings through the acquisition.

Ashburn, Virginia-based Federal Network Systems provides systems integration and communication, information technology and data security services to clients such as the intelligence community, Defense Department and federal civilian customers.

The FNS division works to develop, integrate, operate and maintain mission critical infrastructure such as voice, data and video network services.
