Raytheon Canada Ltd. will provide management services for the North Warning Systemâs radar sites, logistics facilities, monitoring center and radar depot under the potential five-year contract, Raytheon said Thursday.
The Public Works and Government Services Canada project aims to carry forward radar surveillance operations over northern Canada in order to protect North American and Canadian sovereignty.
Pierre LeBlanc, program manager of NWS at Raytheon Canada, said the company would offer its Inuit Benefit to the client.
“RCL brings training as a core competency to develop a high technology work force in the north, â added LeBlanc.
The NWS includes 47 radar sites, five logistics support sites and a radar depot that Raytheon will provide services for.
