Stuart Thorn Joins Curtiss-Wright Board of Directors; Martin Benante, David Adams Comment

Curtiss-Wright logoStuart Thorn, president and CEO at electric cable manufacturer Southwire Company, has been elected to the board of directors at Curtiss-Wright (NYSE: CW).

He started at Southwire in 2001 as president and chief operating officer before becoming CEO a year later, Curtiss-Wright said Wednesday.

Martin Benante, Curtiss-Wright chairman, said Thorn will bring the company a combination of operating and financial experience from his University of Pennsylvania Wharton School education and his work as financial executive and CEO.

Thorn has held finance and operations management positions at S.C. Johnson, Campbell Soup Company and Beaulieu of America.

“Stuart Thorn will play an important role in assisting in the development of Curtiss-Wright’s operational improvement strategy and supporting our financial reporting efforts, ” said David Adams, Curtiss-Wright president and CEO.
