BAE to Maintain, Update USS Chung Hoon

Bae systems logo_ExecutiveBizBAE Systems will perform maintenance and repair wors on the U.S. Navy’s USS Chung Hoon (DDG 93) vessel under a $37.4 million contract, Navaltoday.com reported Friday.

The company’s Hawaii Shipyards facility was chosen for the dry-docking selected restricted availability work on the Arleigh Burke-class Aegis destroyer during fiscal year 2014.

Chung Hoon has supported maritime security and counterterrorism operations in the Western Pacific and is currently docked at its Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam homeport.
