Microsoft Ventures Invests in Mobile App Provider SkyGiraffe; Rahul Sood Comments

MicrosoftMicrosoft Ventures (NASDAQ: MSFT) has invested in enterprise mobile applications provider SkyGiraffe Ltd. for an undisclosed amount, Globes reported Wednesday.

SkyGiraffe’s platform is designed to secure access to sales, finance, inventory and operations data, according to the report.

Rahul Sood, Microsoft Ventures general manager, told the publication SkyGiraffe intends to help enterprises with mobile transactions involving employees.

SkyGiraffe’s apps for iOS and Android device work to read and write data to a company’s system in real time, Globes reports.

That company first joined Microsoft’s BizSpark program and later the Microsoft Israel Ventures Accelerator, the report says.
