SAIC Wins $49M for Military Explosive Analysis Tech

SAIC Logo_ExecutiveBizScience Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has won a $49, 412, 941 contract from the U.S. Navy to provide portable systems to the military for technicians to analyze explosives.

The radiographic systems are intended to have real-time downrange imaging features and help explosive ordnance disposal technicians determine the condition of a device or munition, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

SAIC will receive $30, 700, 047 in funding at the time of award and funds are being provided by the Army, Navy and Marine Corps.

Work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will occur through August 2014.
