Kevin Malik Named IO Chief Innovation Officer; George Slessman Comments

datacenterKevin Malik, formerly chief information officer at data center technology maker IO, has been promoted to chief innovation officer.

He will lead the company’s cloud engineering and software engineering teams and report to IO CEO and Product Architect George Slessman, the company said Thursday.

“We are committed to redefining the data center as a fundamental tool for solving big IT problems, ” Malik said.

Malik also served as general manager of IO Labs in addition to CIO and served as vice president of global enterprise information technology at Starwood Hotels and Resorts before joining IO.

While at IO, Malik led efforts to build a complete data center operating system and worked with McLaren Applied Technologies to build energy efficient data centers.

Trade Groups Provide Recommendations for DoD CMMC Implementation
