The fixed-price, commercial contract covers 41, 224 eligible Uniformed Services Family Health Plan beneficiaries in their designated geographical area, the Defense Department said Monday.
Johns Hopkins’ area of responsibility for the plan includes Maryland, Washington D.C. and parts of Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Delaware.
The nonprofit organization will also help manage enrollment and customer services.
Active duty family members, military retirees and eligible family members that are no more than 64 years old can participate in the Uniformed Services Family Health Plan.
