IBM to Blueprint Air Force ERP Personnel, Pay System

IBM logoIBM (NYSE: IBM) has won an $11, 861, 333 contract to blueprint and design an enterprise resource planning system for the U.S. Air Force.

The branch aims to integrate its military personnel and pay processes into one system under the Air Force Integrated Personnel and Pay System program, the Defense Department said Thursday.

Six offers were submitted to the Air Force for the fixed-price-incentive-firm contract.

According to the IT Dashboard, the Air Force projects $958.5 million in lifecycle costs for the program’s first increment and an investment time frame for fiscal years 2010 through 2018.
