Jacobs Engineering Acquires Telecom Services Provider Compass; Kevin McMahon, JC Massey Comment

JacobsLogoJacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has acquired telecommunications and field services provider Compass Technology Services in a move aimed at expanding Jacobs’ services.

Compass adds to Jacobs’ portfolio of designing and developing wireless telecommunications infrastructures, Jacobs said Tuesday.

Kevin McMahon, a Jacobs group vice president, said the company aims to diversify its offerings and grow the business.

Compass has been providing telecommunications professional and field services in the southeastern region of the U.S. for more than 10 years, Jacobs said.

J.C. Massey, Compass CEO, said the acquisition is intended to grow the company’s amount of resources within Jacobs and give opportunities to employees.
