Cubic in Talks to Buy Serco’s Transportation Solutions Business

cubic corp logoCubic Corp. is in discussions with Serco Group plc to acquire the latter’s transportation solutions business in a move aimed at growing Cubic’s presence in the enforcement, road and traffic markets.

Talks have entered the exclusive due diligence phase and Cubic intends to integrate the business into its transportation systems division if the companies agree to a transaction, Cubic said Friday.Serco Logo_ExecutiveBiz

The business provides traffic management systems technology to customers and helps maintain emergency equipment, as well as other road and tunnel infrastructure.

Serco’s customers include Transport for London, the Highways Agency, Transport Scotland, Transport for New South Wales and other safety camera partnerships.
