Jacobs to Help AF Integrate Commercial Technology, Manage Data

JacobsLogoJacobs Technology has won an $8, 527, 294 contract from the U.S. Air Force to help configure and manage data and integrate commercial off-the-shelf technology, among other engineering and technology acquisition support services.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-reimbursable contract also includes a foreign military sales component for the company to travel internationally and support host nations, the Defense Department said Thursday.

Jacobs will also help the Air Force form master plans, schedules and technical reviews and perform security engineering and certification work.

Architectural support, test and evaluation and logistics are also covered under the contract.

Work will occur at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. and with primary geographically separated units at Peterson AFB, Colo.; Langley AFB, Va.; Eglin AFB, Fla.; Maxwell-Gunter AFB, Ala.; and Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.The Pentagon expects the work to finish Nov. 15, 2013.
