Bill Bratton, a two-decade international law enforcement veteran and former chief of police for three of the U.S.’ largest cities, has been elected to the board of directors at consulting firm SST Inc.
His appointment took effect April 12 and he currently leads The Bratton Group LLC and Bratton Technologies as CEO, SST said Wednesday.
Pascal Levensohn, SST board chairman, said Bratton will aim to help the company grow its presence in the gunfire data analysis and intelligence solutions markets.
Bratton served as police chief in Boston, Los Angeles and New York City, where he implemented a crime response model that uses technology to collect data and information intended to help officers handle security issues.
CompStat also aims to identify locations where criminal activity likely occurs, SST says.
