Troy Clarke Promoted To Navistar President, CEO; James Keyes Comments

NavistarLogoTroy Clarke, formerly president and chief operating officer at Navistar International Corp. (NYSE: NAV), has been promoted to president and CEO and will also join the board of directors.

The promotion is effective April 15 and he will succeed Lewis Campbell, executive chairman and interim CEO since August 2012, the company said Thursday.

Clarke, a former president of the company’s Asia-Pacific business, joined Navistar in January 2010 after a 35-year career at General Motors (NYSE: GM).

James Keyes, a board member since 2002, will become non-executive chairman April 15 as the company is separating the chairman and chief executive roles.

“We believe that separating the chairman and CEO roles at this time will enable Troy to focus exclusively on continuing to successfully execute the company’s turnaround plan and putting the company on a path to profitability entering fiscal year 2014, ” Keyes said.

Campbell will step down from the board and from his executive positions.
