Steve Glenn Joins Louis Berger Group as Disaster, Emergency Mgmt VP; Tom White Comments

LouisBergerLogoSteve Glenn, a former infrastructure branch chief for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, has joined the Louis Berger Group as vice president of disaster and emergency management.

Glenn will aim to grow the company’s portfolio in disaster preparedness, emergency response and post-disaster recovery services, LBG said Monday.

He brings 24 years of disaster relief experience from both the government and private sector, the company said.

“He will be a valuable asset to LBG’s ongoing disaster preparedness, response and recovery operations in areas affected by Superstorm Sandy in New York City and New Jersey, ” said Tom White, vice president of the U.S. operations group.

Before joining LBG, he led a nationwide emergency management practice for Atkins North America and worked with clients in operational readiness, personnel deployment and technical support for federal programs.

He also public assistance and debris monitoring services in Virginia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina while at Atkins.

Glenn has previously led recovery operations for the North Carolina Emergency Management Agency and holds additional field experience in training, coordinating and risk analysis, LBG said.

LBG has supported disaster management and recovery after Hurricanes Katrina, Irene and Ike as well as international recovery efforts in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

The company also provides emergency power, debris management, grant management and coastal beach engineering for post-disaster recovery programs.
