Lockheed Wins $161M for Army Sensor Laser Kits

LockheedLogoLockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a $161, 687, 115 U.S. Army contract modification to continue making laser kits and spare parts for night vision systems, the Defense Department said Monday.

The Modernized Day Sensor Assembly contains both both day and night sensor systems.

According to Lockheed, the assembly has been deployed onboard the Apache AH-64D helicopter during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Work will occur in Orlando, Fla. through Aug. 31, 2016 and the U.S. Army Contracting Command’s office at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
