Kroll Advisory Solutions has retained former Chairman William J. Bratton as a senior advisor, according to a company statement.

Bratton will now serve the firm by working with public entities and private organizations that face complex security or investigatory issues.

The former police chief is also expected to pursue broader interests in organizational security and public safety.

“Bill has been a standard-bearer for our brand and has led several major, high-profile cases for us, ” said Tom Hartley, Kroll Advisory president.

“I’m very happy to continue our work together, and also wish him great success as he continues to follow his passion for helping build safe communities and organizations, ” he added.

Bratton joined Kroll in 2009 following his service as chief of the Los Angeles Police Department for seven years.

He also served as the commissioner of the Boston and New York City police departments during his career.

Prior to his leadership role at the LAPD, Bratton established the Bratton Group LLC, a consulting company on safety and security throughout the U.S. and four continents, with extensive work in South America.
