Xerox Names Northrop, TASC Vet Mark Leary Info Security Lead

Mark Leary

Xerox (NYSE: XRX) has appointed Mark Leary chief information security officer, where he will oversee the company’s information security and governance strategy.

The company said this strategy includes protecting its intellectual property, assets and client information.

Xerox appointed him to anticipate and respond to evolving technology, Chief Information Officer Carol Zierhoffer said in a release.

Leary previously served as CISO and vice president at TASC Inc., where the company says he oversaw information security services and contributed to expertise and support in the cybersecurity market.

Before joining TASC, he served as director and CISO at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and also held positions in the U.S. Army’s Military Intelligence Corps and special operations forces.

In May, Xerox announced the appointment of 30-year management veteran Mark Mayo to lead the human services solutions group and oversee day-to-day operations.
