Lockheed Wins $152M for AF Sniper Pod Logistics

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a $152, 329, 710 contract to provide the U.S. Air Force logistics support for sniper targeting pods, the Defense Department announced Friday.

Work under this indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will occur in Orlando, Fla. through Aug. 31, 2017.

In March, the company won a potential $841 million contract for hardware and software upgrades, platform integration and other post-production support for the Sniper Advanced Targeting Pods.

According to the company, the U.S. and 12 international air forces use the pods on fixed-wing aircraft for detecting and identifying targets, air support of ground forces and surveillance missions.

Lockheed holds a majority share of the ATP-Sensor Enhancement program contract, awarded in 2010.
