URS Names ManTech, TASC Vet Debbie Thurman Contracts VP

URS Corp. (NYSE: URS) has appointed Debbie Thurman vice president of contracts and procurement for the federal services division, the company announced Tuesday.

She previously served as ManTech International Corp.’s (NASDAQ: MANT) senior vice president of corporate contracts and deputy for the systems engineering and advanced technology group.

Before ManTech, she served as vice president of contracts, pricing and procurement with TASC Inc.

The 24-year U.S. Air Force veteran served as a contracting officer with the branch and completed a two-year assignment at the National Reconnaissance Office before retiring in 1997.

She serves on the executive advisory council of the National Contract Management Association and is a vice chair on the procurement planning committee for the National Defense Industrial Association.

Earlier this month, Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) named veteran executive Karen Williams contracts VP to succeed the retiring Susan Cote.
