BAE Promotes Larry Prior To COO, Names Tom Arseneault CTO

BAE Systems Inc. has promoted Larry Prior to chief operating officer and appointed Tom Arseneault to the newly-created chief technology officer position.

The British contractor’s U.S. subsidiary said Arseneault will also serve as executive vice president for product sectors and succeed Robert Murphy, the recently appointed Cobham CEO.

Arseneault will also join President and CEO Linda Hudson and Prior on the executive committee.

Before this promotion, Prior served as executive vice president for service sectors and joined BAE in 2010 to help grow its cyber and intelligence business.

As CTO, Arseneault will oversee research, development and application of technology to help customers meet their needs.

He will also be responsible for implementing and developing new business strategies for the products sector.
