SAIC To Translate Languages For DIA Media Center

SAIC Inc. (NYSE: SAI) has won a prime contract to provide language translation and management services to the Defense Intelligence Agency, the company announced Thursday.

The single-award contract is potentially worth $33 million and has one base year and four option years.

Linguist, operational, translation and management services will support the National Media Exploitation Center, according to Senior Vice President Larry Hill.

The company will translate written, electronic and multimedia material to and from English and other languages.

Work will also include editing, database administration, operations support and contractor personnel management.

SAIC announced Wednesday its defense solutions group received two international certifications for its solutions and business processes.
