Navy Seeking Small Business Advice on Potential $99M Biometrics IDIQ

The U.S. Navy is conducting a new market survey to determine how small businesses can provide biometric support services, according to a Friday request for information.

The government estimated the potential value of the multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract at $99 million.

The contract would have one base year plus two option years and the Navy is accepting responses until March 16.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic wants interested contractors to develop initiatives that encompass:

  • research and development
  • investigation, analysis, test and evaluation
  • reporting support for counterterrorism technology needs

The Navy is also wants responses for intelligence-gathering technology, identity intelligence exploitation and the overall development of biometric technology.

The biometric technology should be fully used and shared throughout the government for counterterrorism, according to the RFI.

SPAWAR Atlantic will assess biometric, management, coordination and counterterrorism technologies for military and law enforcement operational environments.
