Former Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chief Information Security Officer Patrick Howard has joined Kratos Defense and Security Solution Inc.’s (NYSE: KTOS) SecureInfo subsidiary.
Christopher Fountain, senior vice president for Kratos’ SecureInfo cybersecurity business unit, said Howard will provide thought leadership to SecureInfo regarding critical infrastructure protection.
Howard said he will work alongside cybersecurity experts at SecureInfo.
The 35-year security veteran joined the NRC in May 2008, where he oversaw the agency’s information technology security program.
He also has served as CISO for the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
He led HUD to a first ever “A+” score on Congress’ 2006 FISMA Report Card, grading agency compliance with the law.
