BAE Wins Potential $108M DLA Tactical Vest Contract

BAE Systems’ specialty defense systems unit won a potential $108, 493, 311 Defense Logistics Agency contract to provide tactical vests and repair kits, the Defense Department announced Thursday.

The U.S. Army, Air Force and Marine Corps will use the outer tactical vests and kits.

The Pentagon received five responses to its Web solicitation for the contract.

The firm-fixed-price contract contract is appropriated under working capital funds for fiscal years 2012 and 2013.

BAE will perform work in Jessup, Pa. and Tennessee and the Pentagon expects work to finish by Feb. 28, 2013.

The DLA’s troop support office in Philadelphia is the contracting activity.
