The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has awarded Maricom Systems, owned by Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC), a potential $105 million contract to provide enterprise data services, CSC announced Tuesday.
CSC said the contract has one base year and five option years. Maricom will provide CMS:
- master data management
- enterprise portal services
- business rules management governance
- oversight and engineering services
Maricom Chief Operating Officer Chris Guckert said the company and CMS have worked together for 15 years, giving Maricom a “deep knowledge and appreciation of the strategic mission of CMS.”
CSC said Maricom will partner with IBM (NYSE: IBM) and NewWave Telecom & Technologies Inc. in this effort.
