SRA International has sold a mobile applications suite that includes security solutions for voice and video channels to KoolSpan Inc., a Maryland-based manufacturer of a mobile encryption computer chip.
SRA will send a team of engineers to KoolSpan in the deal. Terms were not disclosed.
KoolSpan said in its announcement that it has worked with SRA to develop security solutions for several years and that KoolSpan owns several pending patents relating to the purchased app suite.
“For our customers and partners we now can market a turnkey FIPS-140-2 compliant mobile solution, ” said KoolSpan.
KoolSpan said SRA will remain a reseller of the products, which operates with several commercial cell phones.
