Navistar to Provide 500 Reps for MRAP Support in Afghanistan, Kuwait

The U.S. Navy has awarded Navistar Defense (NYSE: NAV) a $133, 714, 728 firm-fixed- priced delivery order to provide 504 field representatives to support the mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle program.

The Pentagon said 94 percent of the work will occur in Afghanistan and Kuwait with 6 percent in the U.S.

Navistar said the award renews its in theater field services representatives contract to support MRAP vehicles. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2012.

Fiscal 2012 operations and maintenance appropriation funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
