Northrop to Expand Law Enforcement Information Exchange System

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a follow-on U.S. Navy contract worth more than $32 million to deploy, enhance, operate and maintain LInX, a law enforcement information exchange system.

LInX supports police officers and criminal investigations at more than 800 law enforcement agencies. It works to improve data sharing between federal, state, county and municipal jurisdictions.

The company’s information systems business will provide the contract work in Chantilly and Quantico, Va.

Northrop was first awarded the LInX contract in 2004 and won a follow up in 2007.
