ITT to Provide Army with UAV Surveillance Solutions

ITT Corp.(NYSE: ITT ) has won a U.S. federal contract to provide software and hardware solutions for the collection, processing and dissemination of full-motion video and wide-area airborne surveillance from unmanned aircraft.

Contract items will include processing solutions for collaborative operations.

The company will deliver the solutions to the U.S. Army project manager for unmanned aircraft systems supporting system for flight tests and assessments.

Additionally, ITT will develop the capability of the Army’s Federated Universal Synchronization Engine program to increase unmanned aircraft systems supporting warfighter effectiveness.

FELCO’s “quick adoption by the U.S. government underscores its importance as a critical tool in supporting mission success, ” said Brian Perry, vice president and general manager of services and systems integration at Mercury Computer Systems, a co-developer of the collaborative solutions.
