After subtracting $93 million in after-tax spinoff expenses and other adjustments, the company reported it realized $218 million in income from continuing operations, or $1.17 per share.
That’s compared with $200 million or $1.08 per share in the prior-year period.
The company also reported increases in revenue across its three sectors:
- The defense and information solutions segment generated $1.5 billion in revenue, a 12 percent increase year-over-year.
- The fluid technology sector brought in 17 percent more revenues than in the third quarter of 2010 with $1.1 billion.
- Motion and flow control revenues also grew 6 percent over the period to $386 million.
