Lockheed Wins Potential $228M Navy Contract to Support Japan Aegis System

The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) mission systems and sensors business a potential $228, 155, 587 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.

The company will provide Japan with Aegis weapon systems and Aegis combat systems under the foreign military sales program.

The initial contract award is for $157, 582, 983.

The using service is the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force. Lockheed will provide:

  • engineering
  • computer program maintenance
  • in-country support services
  • staging support

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
