Lockheed Wins $187M for Joint Strike Fighter Engineering

The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a $187 million contract modification to provide system engineering sustainment activities.

Contract work will meet the requirements and delivery schedule of the low rate initial production, lot five, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

Work is expected to be completed in May 2012. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting.
