John Ulrich Appointed COO of General Dynamics Ordnance, Tactical Systems; Alfonso Ramonet Becomes a VP

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has appointed John Ulrich as chief operating officer of its ordnance and tactical systems business unit.

A General Dynamics vice president, Ulrich has been General Dynamics European Land Systems‘ president since 2006. He will report to ordnance and tactical systems president Michael S. Wilson.

Alfonso Ramonet will fill Ulrich’s vacated post and will also become a General Dynamics vice president. He will report to David K. Heebner, executive vice president of General Dynamics’ combat systems group.

Ulrich joined General Dynamics as senior vice president of General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada when it acquired General Motors Defense in 2003.

In that role, he was responsible for the international wheeled vehicles business.

Ramonet has served as chief operating officer for General Dynamics European Land Systems under Ulrich since April 2010. He previously managed company vehicles, artillery systems and ammunition programs.
