Northrop to Continue to Provide Base Defense System Services in Iraq

The U.S. Army has awarded Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) space and mission systems business a contract to continue to provide services for the integrated base defense system of systems in Balad, Iraq.

Work will also be performed in Huntsville, Ala., Fort Irwin, Calif., and Fort Polk, La. on the $7, 697, 380 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.

Work has an estimated completion date of Oct. 31, 2011.

One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command, Redstone, Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
