ITT Exelis to Establish Tysons Corner Headquarters; Will Invest Up to $5M, Create 100 Jobs

Once ITT Corp‘s defense and information solutions segment spins off and becomes a standalone company later this year, it will establish new headquarters in the Tysons Corner area of Fairfax County, Va.

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell said the new company, registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as ITT Exelis, will invest up to $5 million into the project.

The governor said the project will create 100 jobs over the next three to five years.

The defense and information solutions segment is currently headquartered in Tysons Corner. Virginia competed against Maryland and Washington, D.C., for the project.
