SAIC Wins Potential $19M Federal Highway Administration Contract

The Federal Highway Administration has awarded Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) a prime, multiple award, indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity contract to provide technical and programmatic services in support of the Office of Freight Management and Operations and the Transportation Department.

Six other contractors will compete for task orders under the contract, which has a two-year base performance period and three one-year options. SAIC’s contract ceiling is greater than $19 million.

The HOFM promotes efficient and secure freight flow within the U.S. transportation system and across U.S. borders. SAIC will support the international transportation system, which promotes economic growth and development.

“We understand the complexities involved with freight management and operations, and realize that there is a need to address the challenges involved with moving freight in our nation’s transportation system, ” said Glenn San Giacomo, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.  “We look forward to continuing to work with the FHWA HOFM to promote the safe, reliable and efficient movement of goods.”
