Harris Secures $19.9 Million Radio Order from Army

Harris (NYSE: HRS) won a $19.9 million order from the U.S. Army to provide Falcon II AN/VRC-104(V)(3) radio systems to provide high-frequency communications in multiple variants of Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles.

According to the firm, “the AN/VRC-104 is a fully integrated communications system that includes the Falcon II AN/PRC-150(C) high-frequency tactical radio.  The AN/PRC-150(C) delivers critically needed beyond line-of-sight Type-1 terrestrial communications.”

“Harris radios are delivering high-performance communication capabilities in the majority of the DoD’s MRAP vehicles, ” said Brendan O’Connell, president, U.S. Department of Defense business, Harris RF Communications.  “The AN/VRC-104 provides secure long distance communications in tactical environments and is vitally important to ensure the success of MRAP missions.”
