Northrop Claims Lucrative New Navy Deal

According to the Department of Defense, “Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) is being awarded a $94, 629, 000 modification to definitize a previously awarded advance acquisition contract (N00019-10-C-0044) to a fixed-price.  In addition, this modification provides for the manufacture and delivery of four low rate initial production Lot 4 E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft.  Work will be performed in Syracuse, N.Y. (46.8 percent); Bethpage, N.Y. (13.5 percent); El Segundo, Calif.(2.6 percent); Potez, France (2.4 percent); Edgewood, N.Y. (1.9 percent); Menlo Park, Calif. (1.6 percent); Woodland Hills, Calif. (1.4 percent); Owego, N.Y. (1.2 percent); St. Augustine, Fla. (1.2 percent); Marlborough, Mass. (1.1 percent); Brooklyn Heights, Ohio (1 percent); Greenlawn, N.Y. (.6 percent); and various locations within the United States (24.7 percent).  Work is expected to be completed by December 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-10-C-0044).”
