General Dynamics Lands on $565 Million MDA Deal

General Dynamics’ (NYSE:GD) Information Technology has been awarded a contract by the Missile Defense Agency’s Engineering and Support Services program to cover infrastructure and deployment services in support of the Ballistic Missile Defense System.

The 5-year ID/IQ carries a $565 million ceiling value.

According to the firm, “through the MiDAESS contract, General Dynamics will have an opportunity to compete for task orders to provide professional services support for infrastructure and facilities planning from the incident of attack to deployment of Ballistic Missile Defense Systems. The company will perform program management support and infrastructure logistics management and assist with facility standards, space and facility management to enhance the safety and quality of the Agency’s workplace environment.”

“The General Dynamics team has continually supported several of MDA’s currently deployed BMD systems since their inception, ” said Bill Cobb, general manager and vice president for General Dynamics Information Technology’s Combat Systems sector. “Our knowledge of bases, missions, infrastructure and personnel will allow us to quickly react to changing circumstances and customer requirements to ensure the MDA is responsive when warfighters call.”
