Lockheed Martin Books Spot on Billion-Dollar C4ISR Deal

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) was selected by SPAWAR as one of four companies that will bid for situational awareness enhancement work on U.S. Navy ships, submarines and shore stations.

The three-year ID/IQ carries an $831 million ceiling value, and a single two-year option period that would raise the ceiling to $1.375 billion.

SPAWAR will use the contract “to install and operationally certify C4ISR systems on Navy vessels and stations on the East and West Coasts as well as at multiple overseas locations.”

Lockheed Martin is the only non-incumbent of the four firms selected.

“The situational awareness that comes with C4ISR capability is critical to successful mission execution, ” said Carey Smith, vice president of Technical Services, Lockheed Martin Global Training and Logistics. “Lockheed Martin is proud to support efforts that will strengthen this awareness, which is truly the backbone of warfare intelligence.”
