Harris (NYSE: HRS) signed a $1.6 million order from the Bundeswehr, the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Germany, for the firm’s Falcon III® AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack radio systems.
According to the firm, “Harris is supplying German forces with AN/PRC-117G radios and related accessories. Germany will deploy the AN/PRC-117G in support of national and NATO peacekeeping missions.”
“Falcon III is rapidly becoming the radio system of choice around the world for delivering new and enhanced tactical communications capabilities, ” said Andy Start, president, international business unit, Harris RF Communications. “The Falcon III platform delivers enhanced situational awareness and command and control capabilities critical for mission success on today’s battlefield.”
