Harris (NYSE:HRS) secured a $6.1 million order to supply Falcon II AN/VRC-103 multiband, multimission vehicular radio systems for Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicles by the Department of Defense.
According to the firm, “the Harris AN/VRC-103 is a fully integrated communication system that includes the Falcon II AN/PRC-117F (C) software-defined manpack radio.”
“The AN/PRC-117F was the first to provide line-of-sight voice and data, ground-to-air and beyond line-of-sight satellite communications interoperability in a single manpack radio, ” said Brendan O’Connell, president, U.S. Department of Defense business, Harris RF Communications. “This radio will provide reliable, secure communications to M-ATV personnel embarking on these dangerous missions.”
