General Dynamics, BAE Systems Win DoD Work Orders

According to the Department of Defense, “General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) was awarded a $19, 830, 000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.  The award will provide for system technical support for the Abrams tank program.  Work will be performed in Sterling Heights, Mich., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 19, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-07-C-0046).

“BAE Systems was awarded a $7, 316, 406 cost-reimbursable, no-fee contract.  The award will provide for long-lead material for the M88A2 Hercules reset.  Work will be performed in York, Penn., with an estimated completion date of July 30, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-10-G-0003).”
