Another M&A Move for ManTech; Acquires TranTech, CEO George Pedersen Comments

George Pedersen

ManTech (NASDAQ:MANT) has acquired TranTech for an undisclosed amount.

The Alexandria, Va.-based outfit specializes in IT, networking and cybersecurity services.

According to ManTech, the move will “enable ManTech to deliver technology services through TranTech’s prime position on the DISA ENCORE II contract, an ID/IQ vehicle with a $12 billion ceiling and performance period through 2018.”

TranTech will become part of the Louis Addeo-led Technical Services Group.

“ManTech has a consistent strategy of acquiring companies that drive our organic growth and help us provide additional services to our defense and intelligence customers, ” CEO George Pedersen said. “We believe that the acquisition of TranTech’s employees and capabilities and the ability to deliver services through the ENCORE II vehicle are consistent with that strategy.”

The firm boosted its C4ISR portfolio late last year when it acquired MTCSC for $75 million and purchased QinetiQ North America’s Security & Information Services business for $60 million in October 2010.
