HP rolled out a new Government Cloud Consulting Services offering “to help government agencies comply with the U.S. Office of Management and Budget’s ‘cloud-first’ policy requiring federal agencies to default to cloud-based solutions whenever a secure, reliable, cost-effective cloud option exists.”

HP will look to support government agencies in developing a cloud strategy that includes security, technology, process and organizational governance.

The new services include HP Cloud Discovery Workshop, Cloud Roadmap Services and Cloud Design Services.

“Federal, state and local agencies are being instructed at all levels to adopt cloud computing to obtain the services they need efficiently, securely and in the most cost effective manner, ” said Dennis Stolkey, senior vice president, U.S. Public Sector, HP Enterprise Services. “HP’s Government Cloud Consulting Services help clients evaluate cloud services as part of their overall IT delivery strategy to quickly and reliably deliver services.”
