Harris (NYSE: HRS) signed a multiyear deal worth more than $300 million with an “international customer” to provide military radios and equipment as part of a tactical communications modernization effort.
According to the firm, “in the initial phase of the contract, involving orders greater than $100 million, Harris will provide the full range of communication capabilities from its Falcon II line, including Falcon II RF-5800M multiband radios; RF-5800V Very High-Frequency (VHF) radios; and RF-5800H High-Frequency (HF) radios.”
“Our tactical radios form the backbone of critically important systems that enable defense forces to communicate by voice and data in a range of missions, including defense and homeland security, ” said Andy Start, president, international business unit, Harris RF Communications. “Our Falcon radios set the standard for reliable and highly secure tactical communications.”
